At Serendipity Boutique Consignment
We are committed to offering our customers the highest quality items while providing our consignors with a fair and efficient process. Below is our comprehensive consignment policy to ensure a smooth and transparent experience for everyone involved.
CONSIGNMENT SPLIT
- Regular Items: 60/40 - consignor receives 40% of the price it sells for.
- Handmade Items by Artisans: The consignor receives 50% of the sale price.
CONSIGNMENT DURATION
- Items are consigned for a period of 90 days.
- Once your number comes up in the queue we will then send you an email and that indicates that we will go through your items. Any items that we are not able to consign you will be notified via email and will have 24 hours to pick up.
MINIMUM PAYOUT
- Consignment funds: Checks will be issued if your account has met the minimum of $25 and pay on the 15Th of every month. Checks will be good for 90 days Accounts below that will roll over till it meets the $25 minimum - it remains as a store credit.
- Communication: If you dropped off you will be notified via email if there are items we cannot consign or any actions required on your part. Otherwise you are responsible for checking on the status of your account.
- Check Pickup: Checks must be picked up in person from our store. Please note that checks are valid for 90 days from the pay date.
ITEM CONDITIONS
To ensure the best quality for our customers, we maintain strict standards for the items we accept:
- Cleanliness: Items must be clean, free of stains, and come from a smoke-free home.
- Quality: We are selective and only accept items that meet our high standards. Items with excessive wrinkles, bad odors, or any damage will not be accepted.
DROP OFFS
- Preparation: Items should be folded and clean, with no hangers.
- Intake Process: Our part-time staff will gather your information and place your items in the intake closet.
- Contract and Unaccepted Items: Once your items are processed, you will receive a contract via email. Any items we cannot accept must be picked up within 48 hours; otherwise, they will be donated due to our storage limitations.
ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES
- High-Quality Standards: To maintain the integrity of our boutique, we are very selective about the items we consign. We aim to offer only the best quality designer items to our customers.
- Communication: Serendipity is not responsible for contacting you regarding the sales or monies owed.
- Storage Limitations: Due to limited storage space, we cannot hold unaccepted items beyond 48 hours.
